Steamed Chicken With Cordyceps Flower

Ingredients:

Chicken

1 Piece

Dried Cordyceps Flower

15g

Dried Cloud Ear Fungus

10g

Dried Shiitake Mushrooms

3 Pieces

Wolfberries

5g

Ginger

4 Slices

Marinade:

Oyster Sauce

4 Tablespoons

Soy Sauce

4 Tablespoons

Dark Soy Sauce

1 Tablespoon

Shaoxing Wine

1 Tablespoon

Sugar

1/2 tablespoon

Sesame Oil

1 Tablespoon

Cornstarch

1 Tablespoon

 

Instructions:

 

  1.  Soak the black fungus, Cordyceps, shiitake mushrooms, and wolfberries in water for 15 minutes until they are soft. Then remove from water.
  2. Remove the hard parts from the bottom of the black fungus, remove the steams and slice the shiitake mushrooms.
  3. Mix the marinade ingredients together. Take 2-3 tablespoons of the marinade and mix it with the ingredients.
  4. Wash and dry the chicken. Apply the remaining marinade evenly over the chicken, including the cavity.
  5. Stuff the chicken cavity with the mixed ingredients.
  6. Place the whole chicken on a steaming plate and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  7. Place the steaming plate on the steaming tray and put into TOSHIBA Q20 Steam Oven.
  8. Press「Steam」button, steam at 100°C for 40 minutes, until fully cooked.
  9. Remove from the steam oven and cut into pieces before serving.

 

Tips:

  1. Make sure to thoroughly remove and clean the chicken's residual organs, or else it may not cook through properly.
